Gainswave
What is Gainswave
GAINSWave®, is a clinically proven, non-invasive therapy, specifically developed for men seeking treatment to improve their sexual performance. Low Intensity Gainswave is a reliable method proven to improve erectile function without the use of medications, surgery or injections.
This technology has been used to treat erectile dysfunction in Europe for 10-20 years. Each treatment is painless and takes 20-30 minutes and there are no activity restrictions. We typically recommend a series of 6-12 treatments at weekly intervals to improve erectile function.
How does Gainswave work?
The pulsating waves improve blood flow to the penis by reducing plaque build-up within blood vessels. This treatment also triggers a healing response which stimulates your stem cells to grow new blood vessels. The overall treatment results in firmer, more frequent and more sustainable erections.
Does it hurt?
There should be no pain during your treatments. There is normally just a vibrating or tapping sensation. We offer numbing cream but the majority of patients choose not to use any numbing cream.
What are the risks of Gainswave?
There are no known permanent risks reported with Gainswave.
Occasionally, a patient will have a brief period of numbness or tingling of the penis.
What should I expect with treatment?
Each treatment takes 20-30 minutes. There are no limitations following the procedure and you can resume normal activities as soon as you leave.
How long does Gainswave take to work?
It is possible that you will see some improved erectile function (more frequent erections, larger and firmer erections) within 1-2 treatments but most patients require 5-6 treatments to see significant benefits. If your erectile dysfunction is moderate to severe, you may require more treatment sessions. Dr. Gentry can help determine which treatment program is most likely to benefit you specifically.
Does Gainswave Really work?
Yes it does! Below are links to several clinical studies showing the improvement of erectile dysfunction with extracorporeal shockwave therapy (the science behind Gainswave). There are many more articles available but this is a good place to start:
Does insurance cover Gainswave?
Unfortunately, there is currently no commercial insurance carrier that covers Gainswave treatments. Some patients are able to use their health savings accounts to pay for the treatment.
